Georgiy Tikhiy, the spokesperson for the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, commented on the situation regarding the drone shot down over Estonia, emphasizing that Kyiv apologizes for the incident. He wrote this on the social network X.
According to him, Russia continues to interfere with the operation of Ukrainian drones using electronic warfare means, redirecting them towards the Baltic states. As a result, unintentional violations of the airspace of neighboring countries may occur.
"We apologize to Estonia and all our Baltic friends for such unintentional incidents," noted the Foreign Ministry representative.
Tikhiy added that Ukraine maintains constant interaction with specialized services to clarify the circumstances of each such case and to prevent them in the future, including with the participation of Ukrainian experts.
He also emphasized that Ukraine does not use the airspace of the Baltic states or Finland to strike Russia and has never made such requests. According to him, Moscow's attempts to place responsibility for such incidents are part of a propaganda campaign.
