The prime ministerial candidate planned to inform the president tomorrow about the progress in forming the government. Andris Kulbergs (in the center) with potential coalition partners
The outcome of today: the "New Unity" party, without which Kulbergs' new government simply will not have a majority in the Saeima, has not yet given an answer as to whether it is ready to join this forming government. But Andris Kulbergs is in a hurry and has urged the leaders of "New Unity" to make a decision... by tomorrow evening. Tomorrow, the potential prime minister planned to inform the president about the progress made in the negotiations. However, rumors suggest that this meeting may be postponed to Thursday. Tomorrow or on Thursday, Kulbergs will communicate with the "Progressives" party. In fact, the prime ministerial candidate is doing this at the request of "New Unity". But it is unclear what Kulbergs can offer the "Progressives", considering that the National Alliance has effectively blocked the entry of the "Progressives" into the government.
In general, it is still clearly too early for Kulbergs to celebrate the formation of the government. It is completely disadvantageous for "New Unity" to join this government...
