The EU statistical office has released fresh data on employment.
According to Eurostat, Latvia ranks in the top ten for employment among people aged 20 to 64, with a rate of 78.2%, which is higher than the EU average of 76.1%. Latvia is in 9th place for this indicator.
The highest employment rates are in Hungary and Germany, with 81.1% of residents aged 20 to 64 employed. Ireland (80.2%) and Lithuania (80%) also boast high employment rates.
The lowest employment rate is in Italy at 67.6%. Romania is second to last at 69%, and a low employment level is also observed in Greece at 71%.
