In Moscow, at the Latvian embassy in Russia, the Day of Restoration of Independence of Latvia was celebrated.
The celebrations took place a week before the holiday – the Day of Restoration of Independence is officially celebrated on May 4, and it was celebrated at the Latvian embassy in Moscow on April 28.
Representatives of the Latvian diaspora gathered at the embassy, according to diplomats serving in an aggressive country with which almost all ties have been severed.
The choir "Tālava" performed for those present.
In addition, thanks to funding from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attendees were shown the feature film "In the Net. The Birth of the TTT Legend" – about a Latvian basketball player who played for the USSR national team.
