The Bureau for Prevention and Combating Corruption made 165 decisions in 2025 regarding violations of the law on preventing conflicts of interest in the activities of public officials.

Violations of restrictions on the combination of positions, that is, working in prohibited positions and combining positions without the necessary permission, continue to be the most frequently identified offenses in this area. The second most common violation by public officials in 2025 was performing official duties in a conflict of interest situation, including participation in decision-making regarding relatives and using information from databases accessible in the course of official duties for personal gain.

Administrative violations related to illegal actions with financial resources and property of institutions, including the use of official vehicles for personal needs, were also relatively frequently identified.

In 110 cases of violations of conflict of interest prevention requirements, the Bureau for Prevention and Combating Corruption imposed monetary fines on public officials totaling 17,630 euros. In 27 cases, officials were issued warnings, and in 28 cases, administrative proceedings were terminated due to the discovery of circumstances excluding administrative liability.

Additionally, in 2025, the Bureau for Prevention and Combating Corruption demanded that 16 officials reimburse the state for 28,449 euros in losses incurred as a result of the violations committed.
