"Right now, if your mother calls, it’s not even a fact that it’s really your mother calling," says retired police general Artis Velšs about the "interference" of artificial intelligence in our lives. In an interview with TV-24, he urges to adopt the principle of "trust no one!" in the fight against phone scammers.

"Scammers always try to make you act quickly, using the moment of confusion. Therefore, no matter where the call is coming from, take a pause, interrupt the conversation, and call, for example, your bank to find out if they really called you," the expert advised. He noted that the problem of phone fraud is relevant for all of Europe.
