By 12:00 on Sunday, approximately 3,100 customers of Sadales tīkls were still without electricity, the company reported to LETA.
The most power supply interruptions on Sunday afternoon were recorded in the Oline, Valmiera, and Sigulda regions. Currently, 125 damages have been repaired. 80 operational teams, including contractors from Sadales tīkls, are involved in their elimination.
Sadales tīkls notes that in complex cases, the restoration of electricity supply may take longer.
On Sunday morning, the most power supply interruptions due to damage to power lines were recorded in the Ogre, Sigulda, and Ropaži regions. Around 7:30, electricity supply was disrupted for approximately 7,000 customers, mainly in the coastal and central regions of the country.
Strong winds hit Latvia in the afternoon on Saturday. On the coast, gusts reached storm force - up to 28 m/s.
