On social media platform 'X,' discussions continue regarding the ratings of Latvian parties for November based on a survey conducted by SKDS for Latvian Television. Many find these ratings disheartening.
"Such low ratings, it seems to me, have never been seen in the history of Latvia; this shows Latvia's vulnerability. Distrust in one's representatives is like cancer, eating away at the state," reflects political scientist Filipp Raevsky.
The public does not shine with optimism:
-
I am somewhat waiting for the moment when no party crosses 5%. But only somewhat.
-
Low ratings are actually the consequences of years of voting for the 'lesser evil.' Thus, voters themselves lower the bar - demands fall, quality is lost, trust crumbles. When no one expects something better anymore, the state becomes vulnerable.
-
RailB, AirB, Parex, NGO expenses, studies for 300 thousand, Silin's arrogance, Karins' planes, bonuses and allowances from ministries, debts, and topping it all - the Istanbul Convention, prices in stores, heat, water... It's all over. No one will go to vote at all now because it makes no sense.
-
I agree. On the other hand, why are so few people going into politics and preferring to let someone else fix everything? As far as I remember, anyone can engage in politics in Latvia, without special diplomas or pedigrees.
-
Filipp, why trust your representatives? The border is in a dramatic state, security is weak, international role is questionable, the budget is squandered, with deceitful slogans, bureaucracy has swollen, the people are trapped in inflation and low living standards, we are encouraging our children to leave!
-
The level of intelligence in the Saeima is the lowest it can be because the weakest candidates from all parties eliminated the strongest! This is frightening because it could happen again in a year.
-
The people are waiting for 'No Parties' to appear in the polls.
-
There are many fools; everyone pays for your entertainment, setting aside their own needs. Not surprising.
-
What if there is no one to trust?
-
The real ratings are much lower...
-
Every halfwit gets a party! Wasn't it similar in the 1930s? That doesn't bring us honor.
Tik zemi reitingi, man šķiet, Latvijas vesturē nav bijuši, tas parāda Latvijas ievainojamību. Neuzticēšanās saviem prikšstāvjiem ir kā vēzis, kas saēd valsti. https://t.co/8y3S5N8jKL
