A water leak occurred from a riser at the 'Gaiļezers' inpatient facility of the Riga Eastern Clinical University Hospital (RAKUS); however, the operations of the institution were not affected, the hospital reported to the LETA agency.
The leak occurred from a riser, but it did not affect the operation of the operating rooms and did not impact the provision of emergency care in full capacity.
The hospital confirmed that necessary repair work is ongoing to resolve the situation.
