Разлука с Бондарчуком ей не повредила.

"I generally do not compare myself with characters."

Every appearance of hers draws attention, and every word becomes a revelation. Are we exaggerating? Not at all.

It is enough to recall the actress in the role of Vera Kholodnaya in the series "Vertinsky," the beloved of Viktor Tsoi in Alexey Uchitel's drama "Tsoi," therapist Anya in the mystical "13 Clinical," and Yesenia from "Method 2." And now, after a three-year break, Paulina Andreeva returns with several projects: "Alice in Wonderland," "NobodyLikeYou," "Mama's Son," "Battle of Motors." In some of them, she acted not only as an actress but also as a showrunner.

The multifaceted, deep, almost elusive image of Paulina was best conveyed by Danila Golovkin, while the precious images on screen were crafted by the jewelry house MIUZ Diamonds, which is celebrating its 105th anniversary this year. In honor of the anniversary, the brand launched the campaign "Tuned to You," reinterpreting the iconic Solo 1920 collection. The solo, calibrated diamond, which became the leitmotif of the updated line, reflects the pursuit of perfection and becomes a source of light and harmony. This creates a dialogue between the jewelry and its owner.

The dialogue with Paulina Andreeva flows both in her vibrant creative activities and personal interests. The star shared her impressions of working on new projects based on her own scripts after the success of "Psycho" and "Actresses," spoke about her attitude towards the role of the Duchess in "Alice in Wonderland," societal expectations of men and women, and her dislike for the cult of productivity.

- The last premiere you participated in was in 2022. However, this year your fans are looking forward to five projects. What caused such a long break?

  • I needed a pause. I could afford to take time to think, to stop. The break was very useful, necessary, and difficult. Then I gradually began to engage in the creation and later production of the series "Mama's Son," which will be released soon. After the break, I started with it. And my first major acting work was actually "Alice."

- One of your new roles is the Duchess in the Russian film adaptation of "Alice in Wonderland." In the shooting frames, you appear with a voluminous wig and unusual outfits. How well does the image of the heroine suit you?

I feel very close to the Duchess, although "close" does not mean that I resemble her. I generally do not compare myself with characters. I like ironic, "acting-evil" heroes. The Duchess is very complimentary: she has a great sense of humor, she is always motivated and busy with specific tasks. And she does not suffer for something that is gone and unattainable or unfulfilled.

- If you do not associate yourself with the heroine, how do you fill her? How do you find contact with the character?

  • Through the external to the internal. The makeup helped a lot to get closer to the Duchess, to feel the genre itself. After all, it is a fairy tale. When the costume was completed, I learned to move, turn, and walk in it. It is quite complex and consists of several parts.

- This year, a premiere of "Method 3" is also promised. However, you will not be in the continuation. What is this related to?

  • For me, the series concluded dramatically in the second season. I am very glad about the return of Yura Bykov, who found a new way to tell this story. I am grateful to him for our work together on the first "Method." And to him, Alexander Tsikalo, and Konstantin Khabensky. It is a joy that this project happened in my life, but one must know how to finish and move on.

In 2020, in the project "Psycho," you first acted as a showrunner. Since then, you have continued this activity and, it seems, are placing greater emphasis on this area. What is the reason for such a transformation?

  • When I gained experience working on the script, including with author groups, and participating at all stages of production, I fell in love with the process, studied it, and continue to study it. I became interested in creating a project from scratch, producing, and doing it turnkey.

Before entering the acting department of the Moscow Art Theatre School, I completed two years of journalism courses at St. Petersburg State University – so I was writing before, and this is related to the transformation. Therefore, for me, realizing myself as a showrunner is something quite natural.
