Latvia became the main foreign supplier of vodka to Russia in the first quarter of 2026. This is reported by Russian media citing data from national statistical offices of various countries.
From January to March, Russian companies imported vodka from Latvia worth 2.6 million dollars. Spain took second place with 537.4 thousand dollars, and Georgia came in third with 203.7 thousand dollars.
Lithuania and Armenia also made it to the top five: supplies from these countries amounted to 103.1 thousand and 102.7 thousand dollars, respectively. Other notable suppliers include Germany, Estonia, Finland, France, and Italy.
In total, according to expert estimates, in the first quarter, Russia imported vodka from abroad worth 3.7 million dollars. Thus, Latvia accounted for about 70% of this import.
