The United Kingdom has decided to send a warship to Iran

The Times: The ship RFA Lyme Bay may be sent to the Strait of Hormuz to search for mines.

The United Kingdom may send the warship RFA Lyme Bay to the Strait of Hormuz. This is reported by The Times, citing its own sources.

The publication states that the vessel is set to be equipped with a fleet of autonomous drones that will search for mines in the region. The head of the British Ministry of Defence, John Healey, has already given his consent for the development of the relevant plans.

The ship's refurbishment will take place in the port of Gibraltar. However, a source from the publication in the defense ministry emphasized that a final decision on sending RFA Lyme Bay to clear the Strait of Hormuz has not yet been made.

Earlier, the chairman of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly, Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf, announced plans by the United States to conduct a ground operation. He claims that Washington is preparing for it secretly while simultaneously sending signals about peace negotiations.
