According to the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, who participated in a plenary session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg this week, Greenland belongs to its people.
“No threat or tariff will change that. Our response must be calm, protecting our land and unity in action,” Kallas wrote on social media.
Speaking about Iran, Kallas noted that Iranian women and men are fighting for a future they have chosen themselves. “For freedom, dignity, and a better life. The brutal repression by the Iranian authorities is unacceptable. The EU has already imposed sanctions against Iran. As a countermeasure, we are working on new sanctions,” Kallas wrote.
Speaking about the EU-India summit, Kallas noted that Europe is ready to implement a new comprehensive action program together with India. “Today, the EU agreed to sign a new partnership in the field of security and defense. This will expand our cooperation in areas such as maritime security, counter-terrorism, and cyber defense. I look forward to signing this document at the EU-India summit in New Delhi next week,” Kallas added.
