World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz stated that his main goal this year is to win the Australian Open.
"As I have already said, this [winning the Australian Open] is my main goal for this year. It’s the first tournament of the season and the most important task. I’m curious to see how I have prepared, as I had a good preseason and came into the tournament in good shape. I am really motivated for this trophy, to show a good result here. So I am preparing as much as I can and looking forward to the start of the tournament," Alcaraz said at the press conference.
The Grand Slam tournament will take place from January 18 to February 1. Alcaraz's best result at the Australian Open is reaching the quarterfinals.
