Ukrainian boxer Alexander Usyk has relinquished the world champion title under the World Boxing Organization (WBO). This was reported by the WBO press service.
"The WBO has received official notification from Alexander Usyk's team regarding the future of the heavyweight title. After careful consideration, Usyk has decided to relinquish this title," the statement published on the social media platform X said.
Usyk has lost his status as the undisputed world champion in the heavyweight division.
Currently, he still holds the titles of the World Boxing Association (WBA), the World Boxing Council (WBC), and the International Boxing Federation (IBF).
