Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic became the winner of the ATP tournament in Athens, achieving his 101st final victory in his career.

In the decisive match, he defeated Italian Lorenzo Musetti with a score of 4:6, 6:3, 7:5.

Djokovic, who is 38 years old, was seeded first in the tournament and currently ranks fifth in the world.

This is his 144th final in his career, which is the third highest in history, after Ivan Lendl (146) and Roger Federer (157). In terms of trophies, he is only behind Federer (103) and Jimmy Connors (109).

For Musetti, the ninth-ranked player in the world, winning this tournament was essential to secure a spot in the ATP Finals. The Italian ended up as the first alternate for the tournament, as he failed to surpass Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime in the championship race, falling short by just five points.

The ATP Finals, with a total prize pool of $15.5 million, will take place from November 9 to 16 in Turin.
