The total income of the head of the State Language Center (SLC), Inese Muhka, exceeded 87,000 euros last year, of which the largest part — 55,296 euros — was earned from work in public administration, according to the official's declaration for 2025, writes LETA.
Part of the income — 11,763 euros — was earned from work in the Saeima administration, where Muhka held the position of legal director until March 2025. The declaration states that in the parliament she also performed the duties of the secretary general. In turn, for her work at the SLC, she received 43,532 euros.
In addition to her salary, the official declared other income, including interest from deposits amounting to 1,146 euros, benefits of 3,120 euros, and income from economic activities of 3,280 euros. Muhka also received two gifts totaling 24,222 euros, including 24,000 euros from a private individual. This same amount is also reflected in the declaration as a money transfer from a first-degree relative.
The section on transactions also lists a gift of real estate valued at 52,014 euros.
Muhka's cash savings amount to 3,600 euros. Non-cash funds in seven accounts total 103,481 euros, including 4,424 US dollars.
The declaration lists five real estate properties in Riga, some of which are co-owned. It also includes land and buildings in the Marupe municipality that are in use. Muhka owns a 2023 Škoda Kodiaq car.
