The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has announced a procurement for services to organize business trips with a maximum contractual price of 7.2 million euros excluding value-added tax, according to information in the Electronic Procurement System (EIS), LETA reports.
The subject of the procurement is the service for organizing business trips for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the secretariat, which covers the business trips of officials and employees, transfers, business trips of third parties to perform the functions of the customers, as well as services related to organizing events of the institutions.
According to the results of the procurement procedure, it is planned to conclude a contract with one supplier, while the ministry and the secretariat will conclude separate contracts. The subject of procurement is not divided into parts, as the customers cannot determine in advance the quantity, volume, and directions of business trips throughout the duration of the contract.
The maximum contractual price is set at 7.2 million euros, including 7 million euros for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and 200,000 euros for the secretariat. Since the volume of services is variable, the customers are not obliged to use the entire amount of the contract.
The contract execution period for the ministry is set at 48 months from the date the contract comes into force, for the secretariat — from the date the contract comes into force, but no later than June 30, 2029. The place of service provision is determined to be Riga.
The procurement documentation states that the specifics of the work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including the activities of 46 diplomatic and consular representations of Latvia abroad, ensuring the travel of high-ranking state officials, official visits of foreign delegations and international organizations, as well as responding to emergencies and crisis situations, impose increased requirements for the provision of services, including the need for the immediate involvement of the applicant in certain cases.
