This fish is highly valued for its rich flavor and high content of Omega-3 fatty acids, but unfortunately, parasites have been found in samples from the batch that arrived in Latvia.

We are talking about the popular Atlantic mackerel (Scomber scombrus) in Latvia, which is also often referred to as mackerel. In this case, no matter what you call this fish, the harm from it will not decrease under certain circumstances.

And now officially! The Laboratory of the Food and Veterinary Service of Latvia has detected the pathogens of parasitic diseases in two batches that arrived from Norway.

Here they are: 25101831312-3217514, with a designated expiration date of October 18, 2027, and 25091722513-3217328, with an expiration date of September 17, 2027.

Officials have reported that the distribution of this fish has been halted, but no one rules out that you may have already purchased it.

In the opinion of the editorial team, it is worth choosing Latvian products, which means mackerel caught by local fishermen.
