Due to the forecasted hot weather, the joint-stock company "Pasažieru vilciens" (PV), operating under the brand "Vivi", will schedule five additional train trips to Dubulti and back to Riga on Saturday, June 27, and Monday, June 29, the company reported.

Thus, trains will run every 15 minutes from 10 AM to 8 PM.

The company emphasizes that on the specified days, passengers in diesel trains, which are not equipped with air conditioning, are requested to seek assistance from the conductor if necessary.

Passengers will be offered drinking water where possible, and special attention will be paid to ensuring natural ventilation by opening windows.

The company also explains that on very hot days, not only the air heats up, but also the railway tracks. To ensure safety on certain sections of the train routes, temporary speed restrictions may be introduced, so slight delays are possible.

The train schedule published on the website and in the "Vivi" mobile app includes all current changes.

As reported, masses of hot air from Western Europe will arrive in Latvia over the weekend, and thermometers in many places will exceed +30 degrees Celsius.
