These mushrooms contain flammulin - a substance with anti-cancer properties (reducing the risk of malignant tumors). Enoki mushrooms themselves have a neutral taste but take on the flavor of meat, fish, or vegetables with which they are cooked.

In Latvian stores, a 100-gram package of this mushroom costs about 2.5 euros. By the way, a major presentation of this mushroom took place at the international exhibition Riga Food 2025, after which it likely spread throughout the country.
