According to the forecast from the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre, brief rains are expected in places in the southeast, with thunderstorms possible in some areas.
The wind will be from the northeast and east, weak to moderate. In the afternoon, gusts in the southeast may increase to 15 meters per second.
The air temperature in most of Latvia will rise to +10…+15 degrees. The coolest weather will be in the southeastern regions, where the temperature will only warm up to +5…+10 degrees.
In Riga, the day will start with variable cloudiness, but by evening the sky will become more overcast. Significant precipitation is not forecasted.
In the capital, a weak to moderate northeast wind is expected, with air temperatures around +12…+14 degrees.
After several alarming and eventful days, the weather over the weekend promises to be calm, although truly warm May air is not expected yet.
