No precipitation is expected in Latvia on Friday, humidity will be low, and the wind will strengthen, meteorologists forecast.
The speed of the northeast wind will reach 10–15 meters per second in gusts in the afternoon. The windiest weather is expected in the southern part of the country.
Cloud cover will increase from the south. The air temperature will warm up to +13…+17 degrees, and along the Kurzeme coast of the Gulf of Riga, it will reach +11 degrees.
In Riga, the sun will shine, but throughout the day it will be partially covered by clouds. With a moderate northern and northeastern wind, the maximum air temperature will range from +11 degrees in Jurmala to +17 degrees in the eastern part of the capital.
The weather conditions are determined by an anticyclone over the Baltic Sea and a cyclone over Belarus. Atmospheric pressure in Latvia will be 1018–1023 hPa at sea level.
The Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre warns that there is a high level of fire danger in forests in many areas of the country.
