The community on Facebook is dissatisfied with what is happening on the railway:

"Today, the most powerful magnetic storm of the year was promised. It seems this storm has long struck the leaders of A/S Pasažieru vilciens, because there hasn’t been such chaos on the railway for a long time! A record," writes Jānis. "Today I was traveling from Riga towards Tukums. We stopped in Lielupe. The train was standing for over an hour. After that, hundreds of passengers were taken... back to Priežaine. And dropped off in the middle of a cold evening. Do what you want! There weren’t even buses for transfer. And that’s hundreds, hundreds of passengers! People certainly rushed to the city public transport, but it runs extremely rarely in this area, several dozen people crammed into a bus. But hundreds were left in the evening by the forest, practically in the field. We were given no information. And this is not the only train from which people were simply dropped off. Stupid incompetences are managing passenger transport, that’s the only conclusion I can make. And although the trains are new, the organization is getting worse every year. Complete degradation of Pasažieru vilciens."

"I know the situation in Pasažieru vilciens/Vivi firsthand. Among the board members, all are appointees of the ruling parties, with huge salaries. And there isn’t a single railway worker among them! Not a single specialist. All are salary recipients," shared Mara’s opinion.

"I have a relative who works at Latvijas dzelzceļš. For all the last years, specialists, simple workers of the railway have been massively laid off. They cut staff that serviced numerous stations, down to the cleaners. Now the quality of cleaning leaves much to be desired, as this is done by outsourcing companies. And there is no one to ask and no one to hold accountable. Complete chaos," wrote Evgeny.

"This is the result of state policy. What politicians, such specialists in state companies. The main thing is to utilize budgets. Not to earn, but to utilize, and there is no accountability, they can only create huge soap bubbles," believes Maria.
