In the TV24 program "Press Club," Rafael Ciekurus, a paramedic with the Emergency Medical Service and an instructor for medical workers, expressed confusion regarding the recent incident of a drone being shot down and the subsequent change in explanations.
He pointed out that previously society was explained that drones over civilian infrastructure cannot always be shot down, as there is a risk that falling objects could threaten people and cause damage in populated areas. However, in this situation, as he noted, a decision was made to neutralize the drone under such conditions.
Ciekurus emphasized that, according to publicly available information, the drone was located over a populated area, which raises the question of what exactly has changed compared to the previous approach.
At the same time, he acknowledged that this case confirms NATO's ability to respond to threats, and this contributes to a sense of security in society.
Nevertheless, in his opinion, it is still unclear what criteria are used to make decisions in such situations, as they may seem contradictory from the outside: in one case, a drone cannot be neutralized, while in another, it is done.
Ciekurus characterized the situation as contradictory, stating that society lacks a clear explanation of the logic behind decisions and changes in approach. Or is it permissible over the village?
