The seized property includes a house, garage, and land.
The Federal Tax Service has begun searching for 27-year-old rapper Morgenshtern due to a debt of 683,000 rubles (about 7,000 euros). This was reported by the Telegram channel Shot.
According to the Telegram channel, at the end of August this year, he closed his individual entrepreneur status and completely severed business ties with Russia. Previously, after the onset of the large-scale war in Ukraine, the rapper also exited the restaurant business. However, Morgenshtern still has real estate: in January of this year, due to his evasion of duties as a foreign agent, his property worth over 200,000,000 rubles (2 million euros) was seized. The seized property includes a house with a garage covering 973 square meters and a plot of land of nearly 10 acres in the Moscow region village of Leonovo. The artist is still paying a mortgage on the mansion. At that time, he was declared wanted, but the rapper is currently residing in Israel.
The singer left Russia in 2021 after being accused of drug propaganda. Later, he repeatedly complained of depression due to his inability to return home. At the end of last year, the rapper admitted that 2024 had become the hardest year of his life.
Recall that at the beginning of this year, Morgenshtern went to rehab to deal with alcohol and drug dependencies. It soon became known that Morgenshtern suffers from depression and hypomanic states. Later, doctors diagnosed him with bipolar disorder. The treatment was difficult for the artist: after two months, he admitted that he wanted to escape. However, after five months, he left rehab and at the beginning of August celebrated 200 days of sobriety.
