Andrei Osokin Invites You to a Spring Concert Cycle Across Latvia

In spring 2026, pianist Andrei Osokin will present a large-scale series of concerts that will take place in various cities across Latvia. The musical cycle is united by a common idea — to show how classical music can communicate with the modern listener in a lively and emotional language.

On April 3 at 17:00, a concert titled “Another Shining Day” will take place at the Ziemeļblāzma Culture Palace in Riga, featuring Andrei Osokin alongside mezzo-soprano Ieva Parša. The program will combine sacred and secular music, including works by Johann Sebastian Bach and Franz Schubert, as well as Latvian composers Jāzeps Mediņš, Emīls Dārziņš, and Emīls Melngailis. Special attention will be given to the anniversaries of Aivars Kalejs, Imants Zemzaris, Pēteris Vasks, and Pauls Dambis.

On April 4 at 19:00, a chamber program titled “Lonely Angel” will be performed in the Small Hall of the Dzintari Concert Hall in Jūrmala. Andrei Osokin will perform with the string trio Kremerata Lettonica – violinist Madara Petersone, violist Evgeniya Frolova, and cellist Pēteris Čirkšis. The concert will feature works by Pēteris Vasks and Arvo Pärt, the First Piano Quartet by Tālivaldis Kenins, as well as compositions by Wolfgang Dārziņš and Robert Schumann. The audience will also be presented with the premiere of a work by composer Jakobs Jančevskis.

Concerts will take place on May 3 at 18:00 at the cultural center of the town of Ape and on May 28 at 19:00 at the Veseļava estate. The program will feature works from Italian opera and Latvian vocal music.
