Vilnius has resumed air communication with Tel Aviv, unlike our own AirBaltic.
On the evening of May 14, the Israeli airline Israir resumed direct flights between Vilnius and Tel Aviv. Flights will be operated three times a week during the summer aviation season, reported the company Lietuvos oro uostai ("Lithuanian Airports").
Additionally, on May 21, a new Israeli airline for Lithuania, Arkia, plans to start flights on this route. Its flights will also be operated three times a week during the summer season.
And what about our symbol of Latvian prosperity, AirBaltic? In May, there are no flights to Israel, and June shows a similar picture.
The nearest flight is on July 1... What is the problem, lack of planes or brains to organize this important air connection?
According to the editorial team of bb.lv, it would be very good to send our Minister of Communications Shvinka with his aides on the first AirBaltic flight to Tel Aviv on a business trip, who knows, he might just stay there...
