On February 26 at 19:00, one of the brightest events of the 16th festival 'Kazinik Days in Riga' will take place at the Riga Jewish Community - a lecture-concert by violinist and musicologist Mikhail Kazinik (Sweden) titled 'Antidepressants in Music and Literature', featuring actor Rustem Galich (USA), violinist Dainis Medjanik (Germany), and pianist Daniil Mitskevich (Latvia).

The audience can expect an event sparkling with joy, humor, and light. The meeting of artists from different countries, who are favorites of the Riga public, will create a synergy effect.

Mikhail Kazinik's educational projects are incredibly interesting stories from the lives of composers, a 'decoding' of the musical language, and a narrative about the connection between art and life, and in this case, also direct proof that art can indeed bring joy back into a person's life.

The outstanding artist and master of the spoken word Rustem Galich has prepared a surprise - the audience will not only immerse themselves in the wonders of Words but also discover deep meaning in what seems to be a simple and unpretentious text at first glance.

The talented violinist Dainis Medjanik, the first laureate of the grand prize of the annual 'Rising Stars' competition held in Riga, will present the brightest and most optimistic works by European composers, and together with Mikhail Kazinik, will perform the soul-soothing Concerto for Two Violins by Antonio Vivaldi.

The lecture-concert 'Antidepressants in Music and Literature' is part of the artistic program of the 'Rising Stars' competition, which will take place for the 16th time in Riga under the patronage of Mikhail Kazinik from February 28 to March 2.
