The Fashion Museum celebrates its 10th anniversary with a large-scale spring-summer exhibition "Celebrity Outfits," for which a red carpet has literally been rolled out. The exhibition features iconic looks of famous actresses, singers, politicians, and socialites from the museum's collection.
The outfits collected at specialized auctions provide a closer look at the world of celebrities — from Elizabeth Taylor and Nicole Kidman to Cher, Madonna, Margaret Thatcher, and Kim Kardashian. Many of the exhibits were created by legendary fashion houses and renowned costume designers, making the exhibition a unique journey through the history of fashion across different eras.
Over the past ten years, the Fashion Museum has organized 16 exhibitions dedicated to the development of fashion and its cultural heritage, while actively expanding its own collection. Part of this collection is now presented to the public for the first time. According to the museum's director, Natalia Muzychkina, the idea for the jubilee exhibition emerged several years ago.
"We wanted to prepare something truly special for the museum's anniversary. And what could be more interesting than luxurious outfits that belonged to celebrities? We are pleased to show visitors the beauty that has been kept in the museum's collections for a long time," noted Natalia Muzychkina.

The exhibition features stage and screen costumes, as well as outfits belonging to famous personalities. The exhibition will particularly interest fans of the series "Downton Abbey" — here is the costume of the character played by British actress Maggie Smith, the Dowager Countess Violet Crawley. Music lovers will surely be attracted by the outfit of singer and actress Marianne Faithfull.
High fashion enthusiasts will appreciate the work of Jean-Paul Gaultier, created for Lady Romilly MacAlpin, as well as the striking vintage red suit by Thierry Mugler, in which Kim Kardashian posed for the magazine "7 Hollywood." It is known that the shoot was personally supervised by Mugler himself. Among other notable exhibits is a silk taffeta dress with a floral pattern, which was part of Madonna's wardrobe during the filming of the movie "Evita."
The organizers emphasize that an important part of the exhibition is not only the costumes themselves but also the stories of the people who once wore them. Through clothing, visitors can gain a new perspective on iconic figures known from film, television, music, and public life.

The exhibition spans the period from the late 19th century to the present day. As with previous exhibitions at the museum, visitors will be invited to try on replicas of some outfits and create their own looks for a memorable celebrity-style photoshoot.
In the opinion of the editorial team, the jubilee exhibition of the Fashion Museum is not just a demonstration of beautiful dresses and stage costumes, but an opportunity to see the history of culture and show business through the lens of fashion. Such projects help to understand how clothing became part of the image of the era and shaped the public image of global celebrities.
The exhibition will run until November 15, 2026.
