The director of "Wuthering Heights" Emerald Fennell wants to make it the new "Titanic". This was stated by actress Margot Robbie, who plays the lead role in the film, in an interview with Vogue.
The actress quoted Fennell herself: "I want this to be the 'Titanic' for the current generation. I went to see 'Romeo + Juliet' eight times, and when I wasn't allowed in for the ninth, I literally lay on the floor and cried. I want 'Wuthering Heights' to be that kind of movie." Robbi herself believes that this version of Emily Brontë's novel will be an amazing date movie. "It's a literary classic, visually stunning and emotionally stirring," she added. The first full trailer for the film was recently released. Its premiere will take place in February 2026.
