Psychiatrist-narcologist Ruslan Isaev claims that any alcohol, regardless of the dose, negatively affects the body, especially the liver.
“When considering various types of strong alcoholic beverages by their degree of danger, rum can be considered the least harmful. It contains zinc, potassium, and phosphorus, which makes its impact on the liver less aggressive,” noted the specialist.
In addition, the expert highlighted the most dangerous alcoholic beverages. Cognac ranks first, as prolonged storage leads to the formation of a large number of harmful substances. Vodka occupies a middle position in terms of danger level.
It is also important to consider the hidden threat from beer and cocktails. The low ethanol content in these drinks does not cause rapid intoxication, leading to excessive consumption and, consequently, even greater harm to the body.
The narcologist added that prolonged alcohol consumption can lead to serious liver diseases such as hepatitis, fibrosis, and cirrhosis.
