Did you know that semolina can be not only boiled but also fried?
With accessible ingredients, you can prepare an unusual treat that tastes like halva.
For this, you will need:
320 g of semolina;
400 ml of milk;
200 g of sugar;
70 g of vegetable oil;
80 g of butter;
80 g of walnuts.
First, pour the vegetable oil into the skillet and add the butter. Wait for the butter to melt, then add the semolina.
Thoroughly mix the semolina with the oil. Now add the chopped walnuts.
Fry the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly.
When the mass takes on a brownish-golden hue, pour in a glass of milk. Quickly stir and add the second glass, continuing to stir.
Now add a glass of sugar. Keep stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Spread the fried semolina into molds and press down well. Wait for the mixture to cool, then turn the molds onto a plate. You can decorate the semolina “cakes” with the remaining walnuts.
Your delicious and unusual dessert is ready.
