Making avocado butter is as easy as using it. You will need regular butter, the avocado itself, and spices.
We added citrus juice to the recipe — with lime, the butter becomes more piquant and better balanced in flavor. You can use avocado butter for sandwiches, simply spreading it on bread or complementing a snack with a piece of smoked salmon. Avocado butter is perfect for boiled potatoes and baked fish. It can be used to dress cereals and even added to savory baked goods.
Important! For this recipe, you need a perfectly ripe avocado; otherwise, you won't achieve a pleasant taste and creamy texture for the butter.
INGREDIENTS FOR 4 SERVINGS
avocados – 2 pcs. butter – 180 g lime juice – 2 tsp. garlic powder – ½ tsp. paprika – ¼ tsp. salt, freshly ground black pepper
RECIPE PREPARATION
Step 1
Take the butter out of the refrigerator in advance so that it becomes soft and pliable. Cut the avocados in half and remove the pit, scooping out the flesh with a tablespoon.
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine the butter and avocado, season with salt, garlic powder, paprika, and freshly ground black pepper, and add the lime juice. Blend the mixture with an immersion blender.
Step 3
Transfer the butter to a glass container, tightly close the lid, and store it in the refrigerator. Keep the butter for no more than 2–3 days: if stored longer, the butter will change color and look unappetizing.
