Тамару Натановну обвинили в реабилитации нацизма.

The court charged her with "negative information about the actions of the USSR during World War II, days of military glory, and memorial dates in Russia related to the defense of the Fatherland, as well as about veterans of the Great Patriotic War."

The Dorogomilovsky Court of Moscow has chosen a measure of restraint in the form of detention for historian Tamara Eidelman, who holds the title of Honored Teacher of the Russian Federation and was recognized as a foreign agent in 2022.

As noted by the press service of the department, taking into account the position of the Dorogomilovskaya Interdistrict Prosecutor's Office, Eidelman has been "formally charged in absentia with two counts under Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code of Russia (rehabilitation of Nazism) and paragraph 'd' of part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of Russia (public dissemination of knowingly false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation)."

In 2022, after the start of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, Eidelman condemned the actions of the Russian Federation and left the country. Later, in May 2024, according to the investigation, the historian published a video recording of an author program online, which contained "negative information about the actions of the USSR during World War II, days of military glory, and memorial dates in Russia related to the defense of the Fatherland, as well as about veterans of the Great Patriotic War." A month later, a criminal case was initiated against the educator for the rehabilitation of Nazism.

As for the episode involving fake news about the actions of the Russian army, it, as the prosecutor's office reminded, occurred on July 8, 2024. In May 2025, it became known that a corresponding criminal case had been opened against 65-year-old Eidelman. Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation provides for a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison.

Earlier, an interview with Eidelman was released on Yuri Dud's YouTube channel "VDud." In it, she stated that she lives with her daughter in Lisbon due to the military invasion of Russia into Ukraine.

Historians O. V. Avdoshkina and V. L. Kuzmin classify Tamara Eidelman among the popularizers of history who seek to provide their version of certain historical events "with varying degrees of reliability or with certain accents depending on their own biases." Her channel attracts viewers of both young and mature ages. The topics chosen are the most interesting for the audience and relevant, but within a historical context.

According to Avdoshkina and Kuzmin, Tamara Eidelman on platforms such as YouTube, Telegram, Zen, and Arzamas Academy creates content at a very high professional level, relying on various historical sources and materials; she cites the authors of quotes and provides links to documents. In almost all segments, in accordance with pedagogical practice, she poses a question to the audience that requires reflection to answer.
