The State Police received information that on April 1, a man was injured on Latgales Street in Riga. It was established that he was shot by a man he knew, following a conflict between them, said police representative Gita Grjibovska.
The injured man has been taken to a medical facility where he is receiving treatment. The identity of the suspected perpetrator has been established, and he is wanted.
In connection with the incident, a criminal process has been initiated under Article 116 and part 4 of Article 15 of the Criminal Law — for attempted murder. The weapon has been seized from the scene and sent for examination.
The State Police urges witnesses of the incident and residents who may have useful information for the investigation to call 112.
