U.S. President Donald Trump has placed a photograph with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in the White House, taken during the historic summit in Alaska last August. This was noted by PBS journalist Elizabeth Landers, who published a post on social media X.
According to her, the picture hangs in the vestibule connecting the West Wing of the White House with Trump’s residence. In the image, the leaders of the countries stand next to each other. Below the photograph is a picture of Trump with his granddaughter.
The delegations met at Elmendorf-Richardson Air Force Base in Anchorage. Putin and Trump walked down the red carpet and met in the middle, after which they shook hands and proceeded to negotiations under the flight of a bomber. The summit in Alaska was the seventh in-person meeting of the heads of state.
