Trump's MAGA Caps Suddenly Became a Symbol of Protest in Denmark and Greenland

Red baseball caps are associated by many with Donald Trump. However, now in Denmark, such headgear has taken on a completely different meaning, becoming a symbol of protest over the Greenland issue, reports the program "900 Seconds" (TV3).

Following repeated statements by the U.S. president about his desire to purchase Greenland, thousands of people took to the streets of Copenhagen and Nuuk this past weekend to express support for the Arctic island. Alongside Greenlandic flags and protest signs, one of the most noticeable symbols of resistance became the ironic MAGA-style caps.

Instead of the slogan "Make America Great Again," they feature phrases like "Make America Go Away!" or another popular variant that plays on a well-known Danish expression with the name of Greenland's capital, meaning "We've had enough."

The caps deliberately mimic the design of the headwear from Trump's campaign but carry a sharp and ironic message.

Demand for these caps has surged in recent weeks. A small batch, initially released in a clothing store in Copenhagen, sold out within hours after photos spread on social media. The store owner urgently ordered hundreds more, some of which were given away for free during the protests. All proceeds from sales will be donated to a charity supporting children in Greenland.
