Klitschko reported that nearly a third of Kyiv residents were left without heating ahead of the New Year.

Almost a third of Kyiv was left without heating after attacks from Russia. This was reported by the city's mayor Vitali Klitschko on Telegram.

"Almost a third of the capital is without heating now. There is no electricity in parts of the left bank districts," Klitschko wrote.

The mayor of Kyiv added that specialists are working on restoring electricity supply.

Earlier, there was information about possible damage to the heat and power plant (CHPP) in Kyiv as a result of explosions. It was specified that it concerns CHPP-5.

On the night of December 27, the Russian army attacked energy facilities in Kyiv and the region. Footage from the scene captured a fireball cloud over the Ukrainian capital.
