A post appeared on the social media page of the President of Estonia that raised questions

On Wednesday, a post appeared on the personal page of the President of Estonia, Alar Karis, on social media that raised questions, Postimees reports.

"I suddenly grew up," Karis's publication states. "I no longer tolerate certain things. Not because I have become arrogant, but simply because I have reached a stage in life where I no longer want to waste time on what annoys or hurts me."

"I no longer tolerate excessive demands from fools. The desire to please those who do not like me has disappeared. And there is no reason to smile at those who do not want to smile at me."

Just on Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that Estonia's ambassador to Kazakhstan, Jaap Ora, submitted his resignation request.

According to Eesti Ekspress, Ora resigned because he advised President Karis during his visit to Kazakhstan to remove excerpts criticizing Russia from his speech, which the head of state did.

In November, President Karis indicated that he is unlikely to run for a second term. He noted that a small miracle would have to happen for that, but added that it would only be his own decision: "After all, no politician decides my future."
