4 Winter Drinks for Cozy Evenings

If the standard mulled wine has become boring, pay attention to these four delicious and warming drinks that your guests will surely enjoy.

1. Cranberry Drink

Ingredients:

  • Cranberries — 100 g
  • Water — 1 l
  • Apples — 2 pcs.
  • Sugar — 2 tbsp.

Preparation: Thaw the cranberries and chop the apples into pieces. Place the fruits and berries in a saucepan, pour in water, and bring to a boil. After boiling, keep on low heat for 3 minutes. Strain the drink. Optionally, add alcohol.

2. Cocoa with Cream

Ingredients:

  • Milk — 500 ml
  • Cocoa powder — 3 tbsp.
  • Sugar — 2 tbsp.
  • Whipped cream — to taste

Preparation: Bring the milk to a boil. Mix the cocoa with a small amount of hot milk to avoid lumps, then add it to the saucepan. Add sugar and stir thoroughly. Pour into glasses and top with whipped cream.

3. Spiced Tea

Ingredients:

  • Loose leaf tea or tea bag — 1 tsp. / 1 pc.
  • Water — 400 ml
  • Cinnamon — 1 stick
  • Star anise — 1 star
  • Cloves, ginger, lemon — to taste
  • Mandarins and apples — optional

Preparation: Pour boiling water over the tea, then add spices and lemon after a minute. Let it steep. Add fruits and honey instead of sugar to taste.

4. Mexican Coffee (Cafe de olla)

Ingredients:

  • Water — as per recipe
  • Ground coffee — to taste
  • Cinnamon — 1 stick
  • Brown sugar — to taste

Preparation: Dissolve sugar and cinnamon in water and bring to a boil. Add ground coffee, stir, let steep, and strain. Serve with your favorite sweets.
