Microsoft named the optimal RAM volume for a gaming PC as 32 gigabytes.
For the proper functioning of a gaming computer on Windows 11, 16 gigabytes of RAM will be sufficient. This is reported by Digital Trends, citing Microsoft.
The American company noted that 16 gigabytes of RAM will be enough to run most video games. At the same time, Microsoft identified 32 gigabytes of RAM as the optimal option.
Additionally, when configuring other specifications of the personal computer (PC), engineers from the IT giant advised to rely on the recommendations of game developers. They stated that one should look at the requirements for the graphics card and processor. According to Microsoft specialists, gamers should use a high-speed SSD and have enough storage space for games.
Journalists from Digital Trends agreed with Microsoft that the volume of 32 gigabytes has become the new standard in the industry. "RAM helps maintain the quality of the game for which you have already paid by purchasing a graphics card," the authors concluded.
Earlier, sources from Windows Central reported that Microsoft would remove some artificial intelligence (AI) features from Windows 11 due to user backlash. The controversial service Recall is currently under review.
