Enthusiasts have come up with a way to disable all unnecessary features in Windows 11. This was reported by Neowin.
Media editor Taras Buria noted that Microsoft is imposing artificial intelligence (AI) features on Windows 11 users. Unlike AI services in Apple’s operating systems (OS), these cannot be disabled. The journalist pointed out that unknown enthusiasts have written a script that removes all useless features in Windows.
The script, published in the RemoveWindowsAI repository, allows users to disable all Microsoft AI services with a single click. The media authors called this program the only way to quickly get rid of all the features imposed by Microsoft.
Journalist Taras Buria tested the script and found that it allows deactivation of features such as Copilot, AI in Paint, the voice assistant, the neural network in the Edge browser, and other programs. It also removes all components and settings related to AI.
The author noted that the program is distributed for free, but users must accept all risks when using it, so Buria advised making a backup of the OS before removing AI features. He also warned that Microsoft may restore some features through updates.
