Latvia, other Baltic countries, the USA, the UK, Germany, and several other states issued a joint statement demanding that Iran cease operations against people on the territory of other countries. The document accuses Tehran of involvement in conspiracies, attacks, and intimidation of opponents abroad.

A total of 22 states issued a joint warning to Iran, accusing it of conducting hostile operations on the territory of foreign states.

The statement was signed by Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia, as well as the USA, the UK, Germany, France, Canada, Australia, the Netherlands, Sweden, and other countries from Europe and North America.

The authors of the document state that Iranian security structures use both international and local criminal groups to organize attacks, intimidate, and persecute people outside of Iran. Particular concern was raised regarding cases that, according to the signing countries, were directed against Iranian dissidents, journalists, as well as Jewish and Israeli communities.

The joint statement emphasizes that assassination attempts, kidnappings, threats, and other forms of pressure on the territory of foreign states are considered violations of sovereignty and international norms. The countries demanded an immediate cessation of such activities.

The document specifically mentions the intelligence structures of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and its Quds Force, which, according to the authors of the statement, are linked to a number of operations abroad. Attention is also drawn to the HAYI group, which previously claimed responsibility for attacks on Jewish community sites in several European countries.

In recent years, various Western states have repeatedly expressed concern over Iran's actions outside its borders. One of the most high-profile cases was Australia’s reaction to a series of anti-Semitic attacks, after which Canberra took diplomatic measures against Tehran.

What is important to understand is that such collective statements appear relatively rarely and usually indicate a coordinated position among a large number of states on security issues.

Among the signatories of the document were almost all the Baltic and Northern European countries, as well as key NATO allies and EU partners.

The joint statement demonstrates growing international concern over the alleged activities of Iranian structures outside the country and signals the willingness of states to coordinate responses to such threats.
