Волжский агрегат выглядит уверенно.

The new model will have an impressive range on a single battery charge — about 1100 km.

It has been announced that engineers at AvtoVAZ are preparing to produce another new model. This concerns the plug-in hybrid version of the new Lada Azimut crossover. According to Maxim Sokolov, the head of the company, the prototype of the "hybrid" will be ready by the third quarter of this year.

It is specified that the hybrid Azimut will be equipped with all-wheel drive, as well as a powertrain delivering up to 290 kW, which corresponds to approximately 390 hp. The new model will have an impressive range on a single battery charge — about 1100 km, and it will accelerate to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds.

Recall that the base Lada Azimut, based on the Lada Vesta, will go into production in the summer or autumn of this year, with open sales starting at the very end of the year. The new vehicle will be equipped with atmospheric engines of 1.6 or 1.8 liters (120 and 132 hp), a turbocharged engine with 150 hp, as well as a CVT or manual transmission.

Azimut is not a rebranded "Chinese" with stickers replaced, but a compact crossover independently developed by the factory, built on a slightly stretched platform of the Lada Vesta. The car is wider and taller. Length — 4416 mm, width 1838 mm, height 1608 mm, ground clearance – 194 or 208 mm, depending on the modification.
