The specialist explained that the suitable amount of RAM for a personal computer depends on the tasks for which it will be used and the operating system (OS). For an office device running Windows 11, 16 gigabytes of memory will be sufficient. For computers running macOS and ChromeOS, due to the specifics of these platforms, 8 gigabytes of memory will be optimal.

However, for video games or working with graphics or video, more RAM may be required. In this case, the tech reviewer advised choosing a computer with 32 gigabytes of memory. "More RAM will ensure smoother operation of games and video editing applications," the specialist emphasized.

Cadenas acknowledged that a limited number of users may require a device with 48 or even 64 gigabytes of memory. Typically, such individuals are engaged in editing video in 8K resolution, complex technical calculations, or other professional tasks. But for most PC users, having more than 32 gigabytes of memory will be excessive.
