iPhone 18 Declassified

PhoneArena: iPhone 18 will feature a new design, A20 chip, and an under-display camera.

The next flagship iPhone will feature a new sensor under the display and a camera with a variable aperture. This was reported by PhoneArena.

The media journalists gathered the main details regarding the iPhone 18 that have been declassified. The authors believe that in the new generation, Apple will change the design of the device's front panel by placing the Face ID biometric sensor and front camera under the display. This will eliminate the Dynamic Island cutout.

Most likely, the new smartphone will also receive a variable aperture for the main camera. "The adjustable aperture will mean that users can precisely control how much light reaches the sensor," the specialists explained. The iPhone 18 lineup will also feature the A20 and A20 Pro — the first processors built on a two-nanometer process technology. The material states that the transition to this new technology will allow the chips to consume less energy and not overheat.

The authors of PhoneArena reminded that the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max received an aluminum body with a glass panel on the back. They believe that in the new generation, the glass panel will be less noticeable, and the overall design of the devices will be "more streamlined." In conclusion, the specialists mentioned that the new Apple smartphones will receive "more diverse" software — likely, Google Gemini and other third-party artificial intelligence (AI) services will appear in the iPhone.

At the end of November, the authors of the MacRumors portal reported that iOS 27 will receive the Liquid Glass update, a new Siri, and the "Health+" service. The new operating system (OS) will be released in the fall of 2027.
