Bloomberg: Apple will not update its most expensive computer, the Mac Pro.
Apple Corporation will no longer release updates for its most expensive computer. This was reported by Bloomberg.
The agency's analyst Mark Gurman noted that the last version of the Mac Pro was released in the summer of 2023. The model features the M2 Ultra processor, which is considered quite outdated. Additionally, the device has a design that was first introduced in 2019. The insider pointed out that the IT giant will likely no longer update this device.
The Mac Pro is the most expensive computer in Apple's lineup. The price of the current model starts at $7,000 (565,000 rubles). "The Mac Pro will not be significantly updated in 2026," said Mark Gurman, emphasizing that Apple has "largely written off the device," effectively burying it.
According to the well-known insider, the successor to the Mac Pro will be the Mac Studio. This device has powerful hardware — the M4 Max processor and at least 36 gigabytes of RAM. Moreover, it is cheaper — starting at $2,000 (161,000 rubles). "The Studio embodies both the present and the future of Apple's strategy in professional desktop computers," the author concluded.
