Apple Headphones Caused Blood from Ears 0 16

Owners of AirPods Pro 3 have complained that the Apple headset can cause injuries. This is reported by the specialized magazine Headphonesty.

Some owners of the new audio device reported that after using the gadget, they found blood on the silicone tips of the device. It is likely that the soft material of the ear cushions can scratch the inner walls of the ear canal. A post made a week ago on Reddit by a user named lyao1235 with a similar complaint garnered almost 500 likes and over 100 comments.

Headphonesty journalists noted that similar reports began to appear immediately after the release of AirPods Pro 3 and a month after the gadget's launch. Some commenters suggested that the problem lies in the sharp edges of the tips. One author, identifying as a medical professional, noted that the headset exerts pressure on the wall of the ear canal, leaving pressure sores. These occur due to restricted blood circulation.

The new defect of the headset has already been dubbed Bloodgate — in analogy with the Apple Bendgate scandal involving smartphones that had insufficiently durable cases. Journalists pointed out that many affected individuals managed to return the headphones to the Apple store and get their money back.
