Instead of Mbappé, 21-year-old academy graduate Gonzalo García will take the field from the first minutes.
Kylian Mbappé has missed several weeks due to a knee ligament injury. Thus, the French forward was also absent in the semifinal clash between Real and Atlético Madrid in the Super Cup (2:1).
The Super Cup final will take place today, January 11, and will start at 21:00 Latvian time. The match will be played at a neutral stadium in Saudi Arabia.
